Mexico. Sony Mexico announces the appointment of Kazuki Shibamoto, known to his colleagues as "Kazu", as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
Shibamoto has developed a strong career within Sony since 2008. He has been part of strategic teams at the headquarters in Japan, and mostly at Sony companies in different markets in Asia and Europe.
His experience began as a sales floor activator, and then he specialized for five years in sales for key channels, which allowed him to have a deep understanding of the sales strategy to reach the end consumer. After seven years of development in sales, he made the leap to the marketing area, concentrating his attention on the television category.
This combined approach between marketing and sales allows you to bring a comprehensive and highly connected perspective to the reality of the market and points of sale. His ability to build relationships with field teams and retailers, as well as his deep knowledge of the consumer electronics business, will be key to strengthening Sony's positioning in the country.
"I am deeply excited about this new stage in Mexico, a dynamic and strategic market for Sony. My commitment is to work shoulder to shoulder with our internal sales and marketing teams, as well as with our business partners to continue to drive our commitment to the Mexican consumer by offering them our comprehensive audio and video entertainment solutions and content creation equipment," said Shibamoto.
The new Chief Marketing Officer has also expressed a desire to foster a culture of collaboration that goes beyond career goals.
"I believe in building environments where we not only achieve business goals, but also achieve a balance that allows people to fully develop in all dimensions of their lives," he added.
With this new addition, Sony Mexico reinforces its vision of being closer to its consumers, channels and work teams, with a solid, empathetic and results-focused marketing strategy.
