Colombia. Colombia closed the first quarter of 2025 with 6.15 million television connections, according to the most recent Quarterly Bulletin of the TV sector published by the ICT Ministry.
Of this total, 6.06 million correspond to subscription TV, while more than 90,000 connections are community TV, which reflects an expansion in the consumption of audiovisual content in the country.
"In a world where screens continue to unite stories, national television shows that, beyond numbers, its true value is in connecting, informing and entertaining a country that chooses to continue turning on the magic of the signal, quarter after quarter," said the Minister of ICT, Julián Molina.
The report also reports that the sector's gross operating revenues showed a mixed behavior: while subscription TV reported $769,000 million in the first quarter of 2025, community TV registered $6,875 million.
For its part, in terms of advertising, subscription TV reported $4,428 million, in turn, community TV maintained a stable performance, with $95 million in advertising.
The balance of the first quarter of 2025 confirms that television in Colombia maintains its vitality and adaptability in a constantly evolving digital environment. The figures not only reflect the confidence of millions of Colombians in this medium, but also their ability to integrate diversity of content and communities through models such as community TV.
