Colombia. From June 10 to 13, the International Animated Film Market (MIFA) was held, within the framework of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
This year, Colombian animation had a prominent presence thanks to the support of ProColombia, which supported the participation of ten national studios in this renowned platform.
MIFA is recognized as the global epicenter of animation. In its 2025 edition, it brought together more than 10,000 accredited professionals and nearly 800 exhibiting companies from more than 100 countries, in a space of more than 10,000 m². This meeting offered key opportunities to learn about the latest trends, establish strategic alliances and connect with the main players in the sector.
"The presence of our animation studios at MIFA 2025 represents a significant advance for Colombia and shows ProColombia's commitment to the internationalization of national talent. We are convinced that Colombian creativity has enormous potential to shine in the global industry, and we will continue to accompany our entrepreneurs so that they can conquer new markets," said Carmen Caballero, president of ProColombia.
The Colombian studios that participated in MIFA 2025 are: Teamtoon, Bombillo Amarillo, Piragna, Fahrenheit, Centauro, Dinamita, Ikartoons, La Mar Media Lab, Caballo Loco and Samsa Productions. All of them took advantage of this international showcase to showcase their portfolio, generate strategic contacts and explore co-production opportunities.
One of the most important milestones for Colombia was the participation of Caballo Loco Studio in the MIFA Pitches 2025 category with its short film: Where is my espresso?
