Colombia. Datavideo and its representative in Colombia, Era Electrónica, presented in the city of Medellín the new voice tracking system based on artificial intelligence.
Ricardo Santos, sales director for the Datavideo region, told TVyVideo+Radio that this system takes the logic of the ceiling microphones of Shure, Sennheiser and Audiotechnica and transforms, with the help of artificial intelligence, to make an autonomous production for a conference room, for government, for podcasting, or for a radio station.
"You can have a 100% autonomous production without the need to have a person doing the switching and controlling the cameras. It is a piece of equipment that takes the positioning data from the ceiling microphones and transforms them into commands to the PTZ cameras for image capture and then to the switcher. This logical part takes 1 second to execute," he explained.
For his part, Esteban Ospina, from Era Electrónica, pointed out that this is an event aimed at the educational, corporate sectors, a very wide group of clients who use meeting rooms, podcasts and this type of environment.
"This time we have the presence of Ricardo Santos from Datavideo, although we are integrating several brands that we represent to show a much more robust solution, monitors, ceiling microphones, tripods, return screens," he said.
The Voice TRX solution was launched at NAB Show 2025 and Era Electrónica was the first company in Latin America to integrate it into a project executed at a university in the city of Medellín, which takes advantage of a room to provide hybrid education.
Ricardo Santos mentioned that 15 years ago Datavideo began to look at the AV market, because they identified that the broadcast and AV market were going to have a convergence, as they have today. "For example, our PTZ cameras today are sold for churches as well as for television studios or live event production. The convergence between the AV and broadcast markets is getting closer and closer and equipment must have the quality and performance benefits to serve both worlds."
Next Tuesday, May 20, Era Electrónica has another event with brands it represents, this time with Panasonic. In the morning, starting at 8 am, it will present ProAV solutions, such as PTZ cameras, studio cameras, among other types of cameras and new products launched at NAB Show. And at 2 p.m., they will have the relaunch of the lumix line of cameras. The conference will be held at the headquarters of the Telemedellín channel.
