Brazil. Hand in hand with Pinnacle Group, Blackmagic Design stole the show at ABC Week with the URSA Cine 12K LF and the PYXIS 6K cameras. Exclusive demonstrations and a workshop with renowned cinematographer Alziro Barbosa marked the brand's participation in the largest showcase of Latin American cinema.
With high performance and true cinema, the new URSA Cine 12K LF was one of the stars of ABC Week, being available for testing, demonstrations and talks with experts during the three days of the event. Professionals in photography, camera, lighting and art had the opportunity to explore up close this powerful tool that has already been redefining image standards in international cinema.
Blackmagic Design was at virtually every technical booth, supporting exhibitors with their cameras in lens, lighting and monitor demonstrations. The Blackmagic PYXIS 6K, for example, was the most widely used camera on the show's test benches, cementing its status as a favorite of professionals.
As part of its commitment to training new technicians for the domestic market, Blackmagic Design announced its partnership with the São Paulo Film School, further strengthening its connection with emerging talents and the professionalization of the sector.
And to close, the director of photography Alziro Barbosa participated together with the Commercial Director of Pinnacle Group, Fabio Angelini, in a workshop at the Viddium stand, where he shared experiences on set and discussed the differences between Blackmagic Design cameras in high-end productions.
"The URSA Cine 12K LF offers cinematic picture quality that until recently was inaccessible to much of the market. Today, filming with high technical standards is within the reach of more creators, and that changes everything," said Alziro Barbosa.
Blackmagic Design's presence at ABC Week was orchestrated in partnership with Pinnacle Group and Viddium. Luri Jainan, director and founder of Viddium, highlighted that "At Viddium we pride ourselves on being the bridge between innovation and the Brazilian market. Standing alongside Blackmagic Design at an event like this reaffirms our commitment to technical excellence and the growth of our industry."
For his part, Ricardo López, executive director of Pinnacle Group, said that "We believe in the power of technology as a tool for transforming national cinema. Seeing how our products drive so many conversations and creations during ABC Week is a great satisfaction."
