Colombia. The ICT Ministry, in alliance with the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge, opened the third version of the 'Territories AL AIRE' 2025 call, a strategy for training, production and circulation of local sound content born in 2023.
This program seeks to strengthen sound stories from the regions. This year, the call has an investment of $3,000 million, with which 150 incentives will be granted to community radio stations that develop sound content from their territories and for their communities.
"Community radio stations play a fundamental role in the social fabric of the territories. From the Government we reaffirm our commitment to these media, guaranteeing that information circulates with relevance, closeness and a sense of community. With 'Territorios AL AIRE', we promote content that is born from local realities and strengthen the right to communicate from and for communities," said Julián Molina, Minister of ICT.
The selected proposals will be part of a process that includes two key components: specialized training in sound production and digital strategy and production of sound content in 4 categories and 8 suggested formats.
"Implementing the training component for and with community radio stations is to sow capacities in the territories. With 'Territorios AL AIRE' we not only support the production of content, but we strengthen the pedagogical, cultural and communicative role of broadcasters as key actors of change in the construction of the country, from the local level," said the Minister of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge, Yannai Kadamani
This year, interested stations must present a sound sample in MP3 format (between 1 and 2 minutes) in which they tell the story they want to tell from their territory for Colombia. It will be a new requirement. As of April 14, the schedule of socializations throughout the country will begin, to bring the call closer to the communities and resolve concerns.
The call will be divided into four categories, so that community broadcasters can build diverse and innovative content that enriches their programming schedules:
Category 1: Sound Fiction
Category 2: Radio Journalism
Registration date for categories 1 and 2 until May 5.
Category 3: Innovative Live Radio or Extramural Radio Formats
Category 4: Exploration of local music
Registration date categories 3 and 4, until May 6
