Latin America. ARRI introduced ARTEMIS 2 Live, a compact and lightweight camera stabilizer optimized for live productions such as sports and event broadcasts.
Providing an accessible entry point to ARRI's range of Camera Stabilizer Systems (CSS), ARTEMIS 2 Live is modular and upgradable, allowing users to adapt their equipment to different production demands and career paths, while retaining the quality and reliability of ARRI's engineering.
The culmination of years spent perfecting the ARTEMIS system, ARRI's ARTEMIS 2 Live combines operational flexibility with an ergonomic, minimalist design. An exceptionally short post gives users more legroom and greater freedom to follow the fast-paced, unpredictable action of live productions, even in tight spaces. The new lightweight monitor stands have been specially designed for live applications, with the base mount and monitor riders supporting 7" monitors from brands such as TRANSVIDEO, Smart Systems and SmallHD. A second stand supports the 5" "in the air" monitor that is often used in live production equipment.
ARRI offers the ARTEMIS 2 Live in a series of film-ready sets, providing everything needed to integrate the stabilizer into live production environments. Among them is an option that allows ARTEMIS 2 Live to be easily and effectively combined with a Tiffen Volt gimbal. With its modular system structure, ARTEMIS 2 Live adapts to different power sources, making it easy to combine the batteries available on location and the camera being used in the equipment.
ARTEMIS 2 Live reflects ARRI's commitment to the live production industry, demonstrated earlier this year with the launch of the ALEXA 35 Live – Multicam system. ARRI makes no qualitative distinction between the live cinema and cinema markets, so the components of ARTEMIS 2 Live are interchangeable with those of ARRI's cinema-style stabilizers and embody the same uncompromising quality standards. The needs of EFP workflows are met with features such as TALLY and LBUS, which enable hybrid control of ENG lenses and cinema zoom.
