Mexico. The incorporation of artificial intelligence is important and growing for the solutions offered by AVID. For this reason, they announced in Mexico developments and new updates in their products at AVID Next 2024, which presented professionals from broadcast, audio and video companies, public and private, in Mexico City.
The training was held at the National Sound Library with the support of the distributor Artec, as well as Adistec, who offered professional talks to executives of public and private companies related to audio and video, as well as telecommunications.
Jaime Tovar, CEO of Artec Mexico, mentioned: "We have been doing this event for several years. We show the latest developments of AVID. We are showing artificial intelligence, AVID's artificial intelligence engine is ADA and there are a series of functions, especially search, cataloging, automated processes made from the Artificial Intelligence engine. We're basically showing three things: ProTools everything new; Media Composer, with all new features; and MediaCentral UX, which is content management, and the interaction between the three, based on artificial intelligence".
He added: "Now ProTools interacts in a much more transparent way with Media Composer, audio can be shared, etc. With Media Central you can now receive streams, it is no longer a system dedicated to traditional video, where signals were received by SDI, camera or memory cards. Now you can receive a video stream, or video from a drone, or transmitted by a cell phone. So just like the input, there's also been another one as always has the full flow. We used to go out to a television master's degree or for a USB, or for a corporate video. Now we can go out to social networks, to OTT for video on demand, cloud video, cable, satellite."
For his part, Héctor Sánchez, Sales Director Latin America of AVID, mentioned that they were well received by the Mexican market. He stated that the solutions are aimed at artificial intelligence. "The company is looking towards the development of solutions given in this and in tools that help streamline collaboration in audio and video and improve the relationship with customers in the region."
During the meeting, executives such as Erick Moreno, Audio specialist at Adistec; as well as Santiago Santocono, Product Specialist at Avid Presale, offered presentations in which they clarified the doubts of the attending professionals, details of solutions such as Avid ADA, MediaCentral UX, Avid Huddle, Media Composer, ProTools, Avid Nexis-F.
Tovar mentioned that artificial intelligence is a topic that AVID has focused on. "ProTools has been integrating artificial intelligence for many years. It is a bit of a help for processes that require tags that are repetitive and that require making certain decisions."
