2024 will be a good year for Viewhaus in the production sector

Juan Carlos Medina, CEO de la compañía mexicana Viewhaus

Mexico. Juan Carlos Medina, CEO of the Mexican company Viewhaus, has good expectations about the market and the industry in his country for this year. This was highlighted in a conversation with TVyVideo+Radio.

"We expect a year with many projects, the market has been with a positive movement, it is an election year in Mexico and that has its risks, but also opportunities, I think that in the production sector in which we move there will be projects that allow us to have a good year and with moderate growth. The market for independent productions will also continue to have a good dynamic and we expect to have a good participation. Overall, I envision a good year for Viewhaus in the video production and broadcast sector," he explained.

In this sense, he highlighted recent projects with important production companies, such as the renewal of Grupo MediaPro Mexico's OBVan. They also implemented several camera and switcher systems for 4K productions. And they provided the highest quality camera systems to one of the most important reality production companies.

And those expectations come as it adapts to the new realities of the industry. Juan Carlos Martínez pointed out that "The industry has matured, but we see 2 opposing perspectives. On the one hand, we see an industry that is looking for cheaper solutions and that wants to produce content in any way, focused on stories rather than technology, which is very valid, but we believe that sometimes they sacrifice too much the quality of such productions. On the other hand, we see a market that makes very high-level productions and they are investing in cutting-edge technologies, as they seek to transcend not only in Mexico, there we find that the industry is eager for new solutions that add value to their productions and allow them to be more efficient."

Finally, about NAB Show 2024 he indicated that "NAB always offers us a number of novelties and developments that brands are launching, without a doubt I want to see what Sony presents, this brand is a reference and from there many developments of other brands that are following it are derived. I want to see the evolution of virtual productions, these technologies are revolutionizing the market and their growth and adoption is being very interesting. In addition, the consolidation of remote production systems, as they have been in high demand and with cloud services they are becoming more and more reliable."
