Latin America. ARRI introduced its new top-of-the-line remote stabilized head: the 360 EVO. Following the success of the SRH-360, this new head features 360-degree rotation on both the rotation and pan axes, a more robust design, and integration with the remote system.
It shares a new graphical user interface (GUI) and multiple accessories with the ARRI TRINITY 2, creating an integrated line of both fixed and mobile stabilized mounting options.
Since the launch of TRINITY 2, operators have been exploring all the creative possibilities offered by its 360-degree rotation on the axis of rotation, which rotates around the optical center of the lens. Now, that same technology has also been extended to the ARRI 360 EVO three-axis remote stabilized head, enabling new shooting possibilities for dramas, commercials, and music videos. Even more dynamic rotational axis shots can be achieved by mounting, for example, the head on a crane or on a cabled suspended camera for live event broadcasts.
The 360 EVO runs on the same software platform as the TRINITY 2, with the same popular and intuitive GUI displayed on its touchscreen remote control panel. The two products also share cables, brackets and SAM platens for mounting different cameras, and can be controlled with the same tools, such as ARRI's DRW-1 digital remote wheels and the new DEH-2 digital encoder head. TRINITY 2 customers can then invest in the 360 EVO without the need to duplicate accessories or learn new workflows. By offering both systems, professionals can extend their services to production, extend their working hours and reduce set-up times, which is also a great benefit for production itself.
LBUS connectivity enables efficient digital and metadata workflows, while the new software and GUI focus on long-term integration of the Unreal Engine to facilitate virtual production. In the future, plug-and-play control of the 360 EVO via the Internet will be possible through the use of an authorized cloud relay service, providing exceptional flexibility in terms of control options.
