Colombia. The Ministry of ICT selected 300 participants as the winners of the "Stories of Change" call. The winning works stood out for the narrative of their writings, the feasibility of their realization and the sense of fiction of the audiovisual project.
The ICT Minister, Mauricio Lizcano, highlighted the importance of this call, which benefits the development of the country's audiovisual industry: "With Historias del Cambio we want to encourage workers in the audiovisual industry of Colombia, so that with their productions they tell the realities of the regions, and thus nourish public television with quality content".
For the execution of this call, an investment of $ 4,200 million was made, in order to expand the programming content of the digital screens of national and regional public channels. Each winner will receive $12 million.
The contents of this call are designed, initially, to be published on the social networks of the country's public regional media, that is, on platforms such as Facebook. The winning projects will be broadcast, simultaneously, on the fan pages of all regional channels, thus achieving national coverage and greater audiovisual impact.
The call "Stories of change" is aimed at workers in the audiovisual industry in order to submit proposals for the purchase of broadcast rights of short fiction, which will be broadcast on the digital grids of public operators.
The 300 workers of this project will develop a unique format, which will be disseminated on more than eight digital screens, and will be promoted by all public channels in the country, to achieve a high interaction with the audience.
The participants selected within the framework of this call, which aims to promote film and audiovisual development, must confirm the acceptance of the contribution via email within two days of the selection notification.
