In 2020, he returned to the CRC, after receiving the highest score in the public contest developed by the Administrative Department of the Public Function for the election of the commissioners of the Communications Commission Session, once Law 1978 of 2019 or ICT Modernization Law was signed, with which the Commission evolved and became the convergent Single Regulator.

"From the Executive Directorate of the CRC, I will continue to promote the sectoral articulation and the design of initiatives that promote free competition and maximize the welfare of users of communications services, advancing in the consolidation of the entity as a single and independent regulator, all with the support and work of a great human team characterized by its professionalism and high technical rigor ", Nicolas Silva said.
