Merlin held its Road Show in São Paulo

Brazil. In recent weeks, the Merlin Road Show was held at the Royal Tulip JP Ribeirão Preto Hotel in the city of São Paulo, where the Merlin company held an Audiovisual Congress that included talks by industry specialists and, in parallel, an equipment exhibition.

They had the teams of participating brands such as Sony, Canon, Blackmagic Design, Panasonic, Datavideo, JVC Professional, Manfrotto Imagine, Hollyland Technology, AJA Video Systems, E-Image, Aida Imaging, Yololiv, Fujinon, (prostream), ARRI, BenQ, Teradek, Zeus, LinePro, Shure, ARRI, LiveU, NewTek Yamaha and Zeus among others.

With an outstanding call to full of the halls of the event, all visitors to this national event of audiovisual production in the country that covers key areas of the professional industry, such as video production, photography, cinematography, television and streaming, could observe first-hand in the exhibition sector and where all this public could interact with the equipment and receive the latest releases from these manufacturers of reference to the market, along with the possibility in the area of conferences and lectures to access specialists of each brand with the presentations of all the novelties that they bring to our industry.

For Fernando Tasselli, marketing director of Merlin Video the event: "It was again a success. Here you could see the latest developments in the market at the largest Congress of photo and video production in Brazil, where all the important number of visitors to the industry that we have had could see and test from cameras, accessories, know the main product launches of the best brands and where everyone could test them. We have there a stage with activities, exhibition area, workshops, influencers, executives of the products of photos, cinema, television, cinematography, also everything related to podcast for those who are doing it, and all the necessary products for our audiovisual market were present at the Merlin Road Show 2022 here in São Paulo."

Considered the largest itinerant video production event ever organized in Brazil, the event began in 2012 and had a very wide list of speakers, where Fill Rocha and Adryano Fortien participated, both creators of Podcast Santa Mãe do ISO Alto and Video Producers, Rodrigo de Magalhães who is a Photographer and professor specialized in image manipulation, retouching and ambassador of BenQ Brazil, Bruno Massao who is Photographer, lens geek & Account Executive Cinema EOS & ProVideo of Canon Brazil, Renato Goya who is Engineer of Panasonic do Brasil, Felipe Rodrigues who is Marketing and Tech Support of Sony Professional Solutions Brazil, Sergio Constantino who is General Manager – Latin America Operations of JVC, Ricardo Santos who is Regional Sales Manager of Datavideo US, Danilo Fuzeto who is Proprietary Partner of Zeus Broadcast Service and specialist in live streaming and Fabio Angelini who is Blackmagic Design Representative in Brazil.

Among the most outstanding lectures that were offered within the event, was a particular conference on cinematography in wedding films made by Guilherme Paiva, the renowned filmmaker and producer who shared all his peculiar and crazy experiences there during the event.

There were special tests and tests of cameras, where visitors could interact with the Canon EOS R5C, Blackmagic Design Pocket 6K Pro, Sony Venice 2 and the Canon EOS R3.

On the Sony side, the product manager of the Alpha line, Ana Malerbi and the pre-sales engineer, Felipe Rodrigues were present and talked about the main technologies applied in the Sony line during the Merlin Road Show.

In the case of JVC, its line of camcorders were presented, with local demonstration of the GY-HM180U and GY-HM250U models, and also the entire line of PTZs of the KY-PZ200, KY-PZ400 and KY-PZ510 series, with local demonstration of the KY-PZ200BU model and the RM-LP100 controller.

Speaking of the Merlin Road Show, Sergio Constantino, general manager of operations in Latin America of JVC told us: "As always, the event was very well set and organized, in addition to having Merlin's sales and marketing teams, to serve the audience present" – adding about the important call it had - "Merlin Road Shows always have a large number of customers from different segments of the industry, both producers, videographers, universities, television stations, churches, among others, and this edition was no different, so it is always a pleasure to participate in the Merlin Road Show, because as it is already a traditional event in the market, the presence of the public is guaranteed and they know that they will find the most innovative products and technologies of the manufacturers present, in addition to helping to promote the sale of the products on display."

For Fabio Angelini of Pinnacle Group, and official specialist of Blackmagic Design said that: "The main cameras for Cinema were presented within the Blackmagic product line: both the URSA12K + Pocket 6K Pro, and for Studio: the Ursa Broadcast G2 + Studio Pro 4K, along with the systems for productions in Full HD ATEM Mini Extreme ISO with the Camera Studio 4K Plus and in 4K with ATEM Television Studio 4K Pro and Web Presenter 4K."

Also on display were the E-Image tripods, AIDA Imaging's POV microcameras, Hollyland's Video Microlinks and Intercoms Wireless systems and the newest: Yololiv's all-in-one system, the YOLOBOX PRO, which was widely accepted by all event participants.

In the case of Datavideo they presented several products of their line, such as the BC15P, HS-1600T MarkII + PTC-140T working with HDBaseT technology, KMU-200, PTC-280 4K, RMC-180MarkII, NVD-35MarkII and also focused on talking about the SRT protocol working with the DVCloud of Datavideo.

Ricardo Santos, Regional sales manager of Datavideo for Latin America said of the event: "Merlin Road Show is an event in which we have been participating since we started our commercial partnership with Merlin, and in my opinion Merlin Road Show is the largest event organized in Latin America by a single reseller. This is an event that adds information to people and is an opinion training event, where professionals who visit it have the opportunity to be in contact with manufacturers and their products, generating great results in the medium term."
