IP and 4K will be taken NAB

NAB. In April, the television and radio industries will once again have their annual appointment at NAB Show, a fair in which the trends that will be protagonists in the coming months will be known. From the pre-show announcements, it can be predicted that the focus will be on developments for 4K, IP, cloud and multi-visualization.

For four days, april 13-16, the three pavilions at the Las Vegas Convention Center will allow industry professionals from around the world to live hands-on experiences with emerging technologies and the latest innovations.

But audiovisual production is no longer an exclusive subject of television and film. Different sectors have gained ground and are also looking to NAB for professional technologies for their areas. These include places of worship, education, government, military, security, sports and advertising.

In 2015 the fair will offer new spaces that are sure to attract the attention of visitors. Connected Media is the name given to the space dedicated to IP technology, which will be focused on the consumer experience. And as drones are all the rage, there will be a Drone Pavilion, with a fully enclosed "flight cage" for displays of these products.

The new media will also have their space, aimed at hosting celebrity bloggers, podcasters and creators of digital content; Sprockit will be the place where market-ready startups will present their new ideas; and Studio Xperience, will be a live studio that will demonstrate how the latest tools work.

From the manufacturers

Every year at NAB manufacturers prepare the most important launches of their technological developments. For example, Panasonic will showcase various solutions for 4K, TV content creation and remotely IP-operated productions. In addition to improvements to its Varicam and AJ-PX270 cameras. Another focus will be on the remote solutions on offer, including the AW-HE40 camera for indoor use that has a 30x optical zoom, and supports PoE+.

At its booth, Sony will materialize its concept of Beyond Definition, which they define as a declaration of independence of formats and resolutions, with products that can do it all - SD / HD, 2D / 3D, 2K, 4K, MPEG or XAVC. In addition, they are expanding into other markets that require high-quality video, such as education, businesses, and places of worship, with large-scale solutions for content production, workflow, and media management.

For its part, Grass Valley will focus its participation in NAB in three areas: IP, 4K and the cloud, under the concept: the future is now. The exhibition will feature live demonstrations and presentations that will answer questions about how to be more efficient and how to generate a migration strategy to IP. Sports will also have a special focus with the first 4K camera designed specifically for this segment and live production.

Broadcast Depot will introduce one of the latest trends for radio, integration with video. The Avra system: Audio and Video for Radio, which for 2015 brings several updates and will be presented during the show. They will also showcase product innovations from the Telos Alliance group, which includes Telos, Omnia, Axia, Linear Acoustic and 25-Seven, such as low-power RVR transmitters, LiveU satellite and IP solutions for remote transmissions and, finally, a master control for television from Axel Technology, which allows integration with social networks.

Megatrax will take advantage of the 2015 version of NAB to promote its main products: 14 catalogs or music libraries that today exist under license in the United States and Latin America, will highlight the division that is responsible for producing packages to order and / or produced by special request and will present the assistant for the Latin American market based in the main office of Megatrax, Leo Salazar, who will meet the general needs of this market and in turn will concentrate his activities on the development of the audiovisual market in Latam.
