That is, this integration will provide a uniform system, both for transmission control and network orchestration, supporting the entire production lifecycle, that is, from engineering, installation, production and even in disassembly. It also simplifies and makes it more cost-effective to deploy, deploy, and update workflow control.
The key to achieving this transformation in production is to be able to connect and control equipment, within and between different locations without interruptions and in a unified way, an issue that is achieved with IP technology. In that sense, VideoIPath facilitates the routing of video, audio and data through SDI and IP networks (IGMP and SDN). It highlights that it has also been implemented by broadcasters and telecommunications service providers in LAN and WAN applications. this platform manages the underlying complexity and capacity of resources, enabling the incremental transition of live production from SDI to IP.
Enhanced capabilities
VideoIPath features the essential transmission control functionality for IP-based transmission facilities, MCRs, production trucks (OB), and other mobile production units.
The first launch will be made at the NAB Show 2022, an event that will take place in Las Vegas from April 23 to 27. The planned demo includes count distribution, salvos, alias names, endpoint grouping, target monitoring, a virtual panel application for operators, and other GUI feature enhancements.
In addition, it now has Sony's NS-BUS IP-based management protocol, which adds to the list of computer interfaces that are already compatible with this platform. This allows you to work with the hardware panels (MKS-R1620/R1630/R3210/R4020) and offer connection management to the SDI-IP converters (NXLK-IP51Y and NXLK-IP50Y), as well as the XVS series switches, all sony branded.
