Dejero helps manage audiovisual productions virtually

Dejero dispositivos

Brazil. DITBrazil uses Dejero EnGo and GateWay products to manage connectivity in its film and commercial productions, generating a virtual dynamic where its collaborators receive video and data in real time to streamline the creative process.

The advantages of this solution, from the manufacturer Dejero, is that it guarantees the uninterrupted transmission in real time of video and high quality data directly from the audiovisual production scenarios, to the facilities where the creative teams are. That is, these devices allow you to quickly transfer robust files, eliminating the need to physically transport information on hard drives. In addition, it operates easily in places where network connectivity is unstable and unreliable, such as the countryside, remote beaches, mountains or crowded cities. This translates into cost reduction, time and resource optimization for instant remote collaboration.

The DITBrazil experience
DITBrazil acquired Dejero's devices through Planatel, a local partner of the brand. His preference was for Dejero EnGo mobile transmitters and GateWay network aggregation devices, with them he was able to share the video of the cameras located on the set with collaborators, who were scattered throughout the Brazilian territory, establishing an optimized workflow.

Specifically, Dejero EnGo streamed the camera footage live, from the set, adding all available IP networks and dynamically managing fluctuating bandwidth, packet loss, and latency differences of individual connections in real time. After encoding the video, he sent it to a Dejero Cloud server, via a combination of cellular and satellite connections. Subsequently, the video was distributed to a private channel of the YouTube platform, where the creatives, remotely, could see the capture on the set in real time and make comments to the production team (who was present at the filming), on the creative and technical aspects, such as the positioning and focus of the camera, lighting and costumes.

Notably, DITBrazil implemented this virtual workflow to streamline the production processes of its most recent projects, which include Commercials for Toyota, Honda, Nubank and Heinz, as well as the impressive music video "Pandeiro Mix Tropical", which was produced for Devassa, a Brazilian beer brand.

Felipe Delgado, founder of DITBrazil, said that "with Dejero and Planatel, we have successfully executed large projects taking advantage of their proven technology, which allows us to unlock new possibilities." He also added, "We always seek to adapt to the most diverse requirements of our customers. When the pandemic hit and travel was restricted, we tested this new workflow, with Dejero as the backbone of connectivity. This ensured that our clients' creative teams could collaborate remotely with production teams on set, in real time, to provide direction and feedback efficiently, and accelerated the post-production process. We have now adopted this workflow as 'the norm' because it reduces our customers' resources, time and cost by at least 20%."

For his part, Alex Martins Alves, commercial director of Planatel, said that "the film industry in Brazil is growing rapidly, but the country's connectivity infrastructure is not advancing at the same pace. Solutions like Dejero can help us overcome such constraints and have a big impact on the creative collaboration process."

Dejero EnGo

Finally, it is important to note that DITBrazil uses Dejero EnGo mobile transmitters equipped with SIM from multiple local cellular network operators, such as Vivo and Claro, including 4G and LTE networks. In this regard, in some locations, this device can combine all these networks with a Ku-band satellite connection for additional bandwidth. In addition, the GateWay network provides resilient wireless Internet connectivity for media production applications, powering existing on-site infrastructure.
