Latin America. The LCT 1040 is a condenser microphone with FET circuit, a power supply and detachable remote control unit, which allows configurations to be made from the control room.
The LCT 1040 system has a control unit that connects via the 3-pin studio standard. It has two XLR outputs with Neutrik connectors: in the Mix output it offers the relationship established with the Control Circuit, a mixture of both valve and FET circuits; while in the FET output it offers the FET circuit at 100%, regardless of the Circuit Control.
It offers 4 fully analog valve features, dual-layer magnetic anti-pop filter, elastic suspension with carbon fiber elements and quick release mechanism, angle adjustment and 360° rotation when mounted on the stand. All this inside a transport case with military specifications.
Roman Perschon, CEO of Lewitt, spoke about the product "Our vision has always been to make the process of getting the perfect sound as easy as possible, the sound you imagine, the one you already hear in your head."
As indicated in Lewitt's official post "LCT 1040 – Developing the definitive microphone system", the idea was born in 2010, the project officially began in 2015, had the first recordings with prototypes in 2018 and the confirmation of what would be the final prototype was given in 2020.
Within the great investment of time and resources required by this development are 4,406 hours of 3D printing, but above all the cooperation with world-renowned engineers and producers to bring this microphone system to what they call "perfection", because they took into account the multiple contributions to adjust their final product to the real requirements of the market.
They emphasize that "valve technology offers the greatest flexibility to create various sound characteristics." as one of the benefits of this equipment that, in addition, has the possibility of combining valve circuit and FET circuit in any proportion.
