Colombia. The Media Labs call of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, Proimágenes and Canal Trece concluded, which awarded 868 free training scholarships for the commercialization and internationalization of national productions.

Media Labs consists of five training actions strategically designed to strengthen the skills of the contestants, winners and interested in the audiovisual calls of the MINISTRY of ICT.

In the call, 327 people were selected for the virtual course Introduction to the Audiovisual Market and 541 for Media Talks. The workshops will be held from November 8 to 25.

"We are pleased with the great reception that the call had. With this strategy we are committed to strengthening and training producers and agents of the circulation of content, offering experiences that will provide them with the necessary tools for the insertion of local stories in the competitive global market of the audiovisual industry, "said María Cecilia Londoño, coordinator of the Internal Group for Strengthening the Public Media System of the Ministry of ICT.

Bogotá with 372 beneficiaries was the region with the most selected; followed by Antioquia with 93; Valle del Cauca with 72; Cundinamarca with 42, and Santander with 31.

In the virtual course "Introduction to the Audiovisual Market", the beneficiaries acquire skills to recognize, in their own experience and context, the key aspects to establish relationships with the agents of the audiovisual ecosystem in the different processes of the value chain of the industry such as development, production and circulation.

The course of 40 hours of self-managed content is carried out through the virtual platform of the Javeriana University.

For their part, in Media Talks, a 10-hour self-managed seminar, participants will be able to approach the experiences of recognized agents in the industry and exchange experiences, in order to understand the current dynamics of serial content for television in the global market and their narratives in convergent environments.

The selected participants will receive certification of attendance from the Directorate of Continuing Education of the Javeriana University.
