Teradek receives Emmy Award for Bolt 4K

teradek

Latin America. Teradek's Bolt 4K wireless video streaming system for on-set monitoring has been awarded an Engineering Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Presented by the Television Academy Engineering Committee, the Technology and Engineering Awards honor the development and innovation in broadcast technology and recognize companies, organizations, and individuals for advances in technology that have a significant effect on television engineering.

Sharing the Emmy Awards are Nicolaas Verheem, Marius van der Watt, Dennis Scheftner and Zvi Reznic. Teradek gave special recognition to one of the leading inventors of the underlying technology: Professor Meir Feder, holder of the prestigious Chair of Information Theory and Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of the School of Electrical Engineering of Tel-Aviv University. Other major contributors to this award include Ryan Barber, Greg Smokler and Ilya Issenin of Creative Solutions.

"We are honored to receive an Engineering Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for our development of Teradek's Bolt," said Nicolaas Verheem, founder and CEO of Teradek. "The Bolt was forged over nearly a decade of hard work, with a relentless focus on the customer, which led to our solution slowly getting ahead of the alternatives and having a significant and lasting impact on the television industry."

Teradek Bolt 4K is a zero-delay wireless video streaming system for on-set monitoring, offering high-quality wireless video integrated into 4K, HD and HDR workflows. Bolt 4K has been instrumental in implementing the changes needed to support production social distancing protocols.

Today, tens of thousands of Bolt transmitters and receivers are working in the entertainment industry, owned by camera operators, digital imaging technicians, drone pilots, production companies and rental houses, to provide efficient service to all television productions.
