Latin America. Open Broadcast Systems has added support for overlaying teletext subtitles with its C-100 and C-200 set-top boxes. This allows users to cost-effectively monitor teletext captions, even in professional 4:2:2 video streams.
Operators can monitor transport flows in multiple languages using the C-100 or C-200 decoder. It can be used in dense deployments with many monitored channels on a single server, as well as being suitable for small-scale single-channel deployments. The company's small form factor set-top boxes can be connected to the back of a monitor without the need to invest in full-size hardware.
The C-100 encoder and decoder supports high-quality, low-latency news, sports, and channel contribution. Enables flexible deployment of contribution services in pure software or in a wide variety of high-density chassis. The C-200 encoder and decoder delivers ultra-high value with impeccable quality and very low end-to-end latency. The C200 decoder is capable of decoding MPEG-TS to uncompressed IP 2022-6 and 2110, using software that runs on standard commercial hardware.
