Colombia. It successfully closed the call "New knowledge, technological development and innovation for the strengthening of the ICT, postal and audiovisual content sectors", carried out by the CRC and Minciencias.
This call is part of the special cooperation agreement made between the two entities, focused on the promotion of innovation, science and technology in the country for the improvement of regulatory processes that positively impact internet, telephony, television, sound broadcasting, postal services and audiovisual content.
This first call, aimed at groups, centers and institutes of research and technological development, innovation and productivity, science parks, organizations, companies, academia, government entities, guilds and citizens in general, had a great participation that allowed to close with a total of 25 proposals covering all the thematic lines, which will compete to achieve the financing of their projects in modality 1, research projects, up to 500 million Colombian pesos and modality 2, technological development and innovation projects, up to 467 million Colombian pesos.
Once the call is closed, the 25 participating projects go to the stage of review of requirements and evaluation to form the bank of eligible that will be published on November 30, 2021.
"For the Commission it is a great achievement to close this first call led by the Entity with great participation of the academic and productive sectors and with representation from different regions of the country such as Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Cundinamarca, Chocó, Santander, Risaralda and Nariño. Undoubtedly, this strategy will allow us to find innovative solutions to the needs of the ICT, postal and audiovisual content sectors in the country," concluded Sergio Martínez Medina, commissioner and Executive Director of the CRC.
