Media Composer | Distributed Processing, allows editors to focus more on their craft by offloading processor-intensive media creation workflow tasks to any available local computer, freeing up their Media Composer editing workstations and eliminating useless downtime from the production process for faster project response. Media Composer | Distributed Processing is included with Media Composer | Enterprise software subscriptions.
Media Composer | Distributed Processing allows users to:
- Continuing to work, without waiting, keeps editors in the creative zone, so they can keep working on Media Composer and have more time to create their stories as jobs are completed in the background. They can download media encoding tasks with support for a variety of camera, video, and audio file formats and codecs.
- Accelerate the entire workflow: Handles the most processor-intensive tasks of a media workflow, including transcoding, consolidating, rendering, mixing, and exporting, in a fraction of the time by coordinating scattered processing resources. Various complex jobs can be configured to run in the background at any time, even at night.
- Monitor systems more easily: Users can track, modify, monitor, prioritize and filter jobs remotely through the web-based control panel and new coordination tools that provide teams with information and access to distributed computer networks.
- Deliver content faster: With parallel processing, jobs can be completed faster to meet tight deadlines and the growing need for multiple versions for streaming platforms.
