Colombia. With the aim of promoting the execution of research, technological development and innovation programs or projects, which allow improving, promoting, enhancing and strengthening the information and communications technology (ICT), Postal and Audiovisual Content sectors, Minciencias and CRC signed a cooperation agreement that will finance projects for more than 4 billion pesos.
The first call for Research, Development and Innovation (R + D + i) for the strengthening of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Postal and Audiovisual sectors is aimed at groups, centers and institutes of research and technological development, innovation and productivity, science parks, organizations, companies, academia, government entities, guilds and citizens in general, and seeks to have initiatives that allow generating research projects to expand knowledge, as well as using emerging technologies applied to regulatory improvement.
"We want to invite you to the call for new knowledge, technological development and innovation for the strengthening of the ICT, postal and audiovisual content sectors, where the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Communications Regulation Commission make a great commitment to advance towards the democratization of knowledge in the solution of problems in the ICT sectors, Postcard and Audiovisual Content, contributing to improve the quality of life of the population, the growth and economic development of the country, in addition, promote national scientific capacities, through alliances that allow strengthening knowledge, through the dissemination, transfer, appropriation and use of research results in the country. The call will have a bag of $ 4. 401 million pesos and will have two modalities; modality 1, research projects, up to $ 500,000,000 and modality 2, technological development and innovation projects, up to $ 467,000,000, "said Julián Ferro, Director of Use and Knowledge Transfer (Minciencias).
For his part, Sergio Martínez Medina, Commissioner and Executive Director of the CRC, explained: "With this alliance we will encourage the use of emerging technologies that provide support in the solution of problems and contribute to the mitigation of risks in management through the appropriate management of information and data quality to generate greater confidence in strategic decision-making in the Entity, strengthening the ICT, postal and audiovisual content sectors in the country.
Those interested can apply for their proposals until August 30 in www.minciencias.gov.co. The projects that meet the requirements will be part of a bank of eligible, from which the best ones will be chosen that will be executed from the first quarter of 2022.
