Colombia. Natural persons interested in the audiovisual language, belonging to black, Afro, Raizales and Palenqueras communities will be able to be part of Relatos en Serie, an initiative that will select and deliver up to 300 million pesos to 10 audiovisual miniseries projects, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes per chapter, to be broadcast on regional public channels.
This invitation led by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC), Proimágenes Colombia and Canal Trece seeks to support and strengthen the audiovisual production capacity of natural persons belonging to the NARP Communities of Colombia.
Fiction miniseries of three chapters (between 7 and 10 minutes) can receive up to $30 million each. The non-fiction miniseries of three chapters (between 7 and 10 minutes) for up to $ 27 million pesos.
Each contestant will be able to present a single project that approaches from the audiovisual language to the realities, imaginaries and cultural contributions of these ethnic communities. The director, producer and screenwriter/researcher of the audiovisual production must belong to any of these.
"All peoples and communities have stories to tell. This is an invitation for the black, Afro, Raizales and Palenquera ethnic communities to appropriate the audiovisual language as a tool for social transformation that allows free expression and the recognition of the contributions of their communities to the country," said Karen Abudinen, ICT Minister.
Likewise, Claudia Triana, director of Proimágenes Colombia, said that Relatos en Serie is an opportunity to enrich "our audiovisual panorama with stories that account for the cultural richness of the country and that contribute to the recognition of our identity."

How should the proposal be submitted?
The proposal must be uploaded to the Proimágenes platform and must include:
- Director profile, producer profile, screenwriter or researcher profile
- Script or text in which the narrative structure of the miniseries is sufficiently described (PDF)
- Audiovisual treatment: description of the visual and sound elements of the miniseries
- Link on Vimeo or Youtube with a video in which the people who will carry out the project talk about the miniseries, its relevance, motivations, the importance for the community to which they belong
- Production schedule
- Budget
