JVC announced new line of PTZ cameras

JVC PTZLatin America. JVC introduced three new PTZ remote cameras. The new KY-PZ400NW/NB and HD KY-PZ200NW/NB 4K cameras provide optimal performance and transmission image quality for remote production over the Internet and are equipped with NDI transmission | HX and SRT, H.265 / H.264 / MJPEG encoding and VITC (Vertical Interval Timecode) multi-camera synchronization technologies.

A third option, the new HD KY-PZ200W/B, provides an economical solution, with no NDI | HX. All camera models are available in black or white variations to better suit the environment of the place/project.

In addition to the NDI | HX of 4K KY-PZ400N and HD KY-PZ200N, the three cameras include SRT, HTTP, RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS and standard protocols. Now that open source SRT technology is becoming synonymous with JVC cameras, PTZ users have a truly future-proof solution with continuous firmware updates.

The advanced transmission capabilities of built-in SRT technology add automatic repeat request (ARQ) and forwarding error correction (FEC) to prevent packet loss normally found on Internet connections. It also offers streaming encryption to protect content.

With the built-in Vertical Interval Timecode (VITC) with Network Time Protocol (NTP), JVC's new PTZ cameras also feature multi-camera synchronization for live event production. This feature is ideal for mixing and broadcasting concerts, shows, sports and other live productions where image synchronization is crucial. Remote control capabilities are possible through JVC's RM-LP100 remote camera controller, JVC's KM-IP6000/4000 live IP production suites, or a variety of other options from vMix, OBS Studio, and NewTek.

For remote conferencing and conferencing, the KY-PZ200N and KY-PZ200 models support UVC (USB Video Class), which allows the cameras to be used as webcams. Both models can be connected directly to a PC via a USB cable (sold separately), making them ideal for a variety of educational and other digital applications.

Equipped with a 1/2.5-inch 4K progressive scan CMOS image sensor, the KY-PZ400N has a wide viewing angle (about 26.4mm to 35mm equivalence), 0.5 lux minimum illumination, and 16x digital zoom. The KY-PZ200N and KY-PZ200 models include a 1/2.8-inch HD progressive CMOS image sensor, as well as a 20x optical zoom that reaches an equivalence of 606.9mm to 35mm. All three cameras have HDMI and 3G-SDI, RJ45 with standard PoE interfaces, RS232 and RS485.
