Latin America. Star+ will be launched in Latin America on August 31 of this year as a streaming service for adult audiences that will offer: all ESPN content, such as live events of the most important leagues and sports shows; series, animated comedies, films, documentaries; and original Star, regional and international productions, including exclusive content.
"Star+ will deliver a never-before-seen personalized experience and expand our connection with diverse audiences. The strength of the content, which will include all of ESPN, will make Star+ a unique proposition, of relevance, identity and weight of its own to establish itself as a digital service independent of Disney+. Having said that, its arrival will represent a complementary service to Disney+ and will consolidate The Walt Disney Company's presence in the Latin American streaming market," said Diego Lerner, President of The Walt Disney Company Latin America.
He added: "With Star+, we will also reinforce our commitment, sustained for more than 20 years, to develop, produce and offer original local content representative of the tastes of consumers throughout the region, producing original content with production houses and talents from the region to tell stories that will connect with Latino audiences. We will do so through different genres that will allow us to address original fictional stories, relevant social and historical issues of general interest."
The service will be available on devices with an Internet connection, and you can subscribe to it separately or as part of an attractive commercial offer combined with Disney+.
