fondo cntvChile. A call to the filmmakers of regions to apply to the CNTV 2021 Fund was made by the president of the National Television Council, CNTV, Carolina Cuevas Merino.

"During the pandemic, television has been revalidated as a fundamental means of communication, its consumption has doubled reaching up to 7.5 hours in the average audience and that is where the importance of diversifying and adding value to its contents lies by adding local experiences and looks," said the CNTV authority.

Regarding the resources that will be allocated this year, the 2021 edition of the CNTV Fund contest will award 4,232 million pesos for the broadcast of programs on open television. "To eliminate geographical barriers and encourage the participation of filmmakers from all corners of the country, the application for the contest will be online through the CNTV website," said President Carolina Cuevas.

The Fund will allocate 30% of the resources authorized for the 2021 contest preferentially to programs of regional origin, regardless of the line in which they apply.
