Enacom launched a new Fomeca development line

Argentina. The National Communications Agency, Enacom, launched the call for a specific contest of the Competitive Development Fund for Audiovisual Media, Fomeca, with a budget of up to 137 million Argentine pesos, (About US$1.9 million) for the "Content Line" program.

Likewise, the regulatory body modified the Regulations for participation in the contests and the winners of Line M, intended for Radio and TV stations, were informed.

The Contents Line is composed of 3 sub-lines: one referring to Identity; another to Food Sovereignty; and a last one on Childhood and Adolescence.

The first of these puts at the center the concern for the contents linked to the search and restitution of the more than 400 grandchildren that have not yet been recovered, within the framework of a commitment that ENACOM assumed with Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.

The objective of this call is to promote the production of audiovisual and radio content by producers, community media or Indigenous Peoples, which contribute to the promotion of diversity, plurality of voices, the construction of citizenship, social inclusion, the reaffirmation of our history and values as a society.

On the other hand, the winners of THE FOMECA Line M were announced, which is integrated with two programs: "Media Management" and "Promotion of Own Production". This line of subsidies is aimed at Radio and TV stations, with a total financing of 35 million pesos, of which the sum of 15,200,000 pesos is allocated to the first, and 19,800,000 pesos for the second.

Finally, the agency approved the new General Regulations for the call for fomeca open competitions that aims to expand participation and improve execution deadlines so that projects can be evaluated with greater criteria by specialists and people with knowledge of community social communication, among other purposes.
