Colombia. The Communications Regulation Commission, CRC, modified the Regulatory Agenda of the Audiovisual Content Session 2020-2021, in order to include the development of a study that allows to know in a panoramic and in-depth way, the habits of consumption of audiovisual content by children and adolescents in Colombia, as well as the attitudes of parents towards such programming, with the purpose of designing a better audiovisual ecosystem for them.
The development of this research will allow CRC and other entities in the sector to make decisions to protect the rights of this population and guarantee information pluralism.
According to the project included in the regulatory agenda, which will be developed during the second half of 2020, the study will have a national scope, involving capitals, municipal capitals, population centers and rural areas of the different regions of the country and will include a line of focus on the use of digital platforms of audiovisual content (especially on the Internet) and the consumption of convergent content, at a historical juncture in which online television and video are dramatically increasing in importance.
