Latin America. Due to the contingency we are currently experiencing, remote production has been strengthened and has concentrated most of the projects that Newtek is developing in Latin America.
In conversation with TVyVideo+Radio, Filippo Ferlini, sales director for Latin America at Newtek, commented that "Never before has the concept of remote production become of primary importance. We believe that this crisis is accelerating something that the market was already beginning to practice, we have been working on this for several years, and we are the right partner for this transition and for the solutions that are needed now and in the near future, even when this tragic situation can be solved."
He added that "We are providing all possible assistance and training so that this can be done now. In addition, we are taking the opportunity to hold several webinars, with a very strong sequence, on several related topics. Our TalkShow VS4000 team, which allows broadcast use of up to 4 Skype channels, has become our most requested product."
The company has introduced five new products recently, with some solutions for remote production. Among others, NDI stands out in its version 4.5, which allows a more efficient use of IP bandwidth, so it is easier to produce remotely; two NDI input and output converters, one towards and HDMI, capable of working in 4K, and another towards SDI 3G.
They also introduced the first 4K 60P PTZ camera, which is connected by NDI; last but not least, an app for iPhone that transforms it into a 4K source on Wifi wireless networks, essential to have a camera always in your pocket.
Finally, Filippo Ferlini pointed out that all products are available in Latin America, the NDI HX Capture app is in the Apple App Store and is free of charge for 60 days. In addition, they have an active distribution line even in the contingency, so they can cope with each order.
