International. Masstech Innovations Inc has been awarded a Technology and Engineering Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) at its 71st Annual Awards.
Masstech was honored for its work in the early development of HSM systems that created a fundamental improvement in broadcast workflows together with other collaborators, Dell, IBM and Quantum. Solutions that effectively manage video media across multiple storage tiers have supported technologies throughout the evolution from M&E workflows to the file-based processes that M&E organizations rely on today.
Masstech (and its fellow awardees) played a pivotal role in developing software management solutions that helped the M&E industry transition to modern workflow and hybrid cloud storage technologies and that Masstech continues to innovate in today.
"We are very honored and grateful to the Academy for recognizing the formative work in media storage management promoted by Masstech and our fellow recipients. It is extremely satisfying to be recognized as one of the pioneers of the industry and to be recognized for the dedication and innovation that still governs Masstech. We continue to break the mold today by applying software-defined storage techniques and an advanced workflow to organize customer assets across the hybrid and cloud worlds," said George Kilpatrick, CEO, Masstech.
The NATAS Technology and Engineering Awards ceremony will be held during the NAB Show in Las Vegas in April.
