Colombia. The MinTIC published the final report that defines the operators authorized to participate in the auction that will be held next Friday, December 20.
This step is part of the process of assigning spectrum use permits in the 700, 1,900 and 2,500 MHz bands, following the previous evaluation report of the applications received between 5 and 6 December.
Likewise, MinTIC reported that following the schedule established in article 4 of resolution 3078, modified by resolution 3121, two sessions of presentation and simulation of the auction mechanism will be held on December 13 and 16, 2019 at the Hilton Hotel (located at Cra.7 #72-41), starting at 8:30 a.m., this in order for participants to become better acquainted with the auction methodology and resolve doubts regarding the platform they will use.
"With the spectrum auction we are promoting social and economic development in the regions, as well as access to mobile service, so that more Colombians have state-of-the-art technological services and tools that ensure a better quality of life," said the head of the ICT portfolio, Sylvia Constaín.
