Mexico. The media corporation Grupo Radio Centro has opted to implement an End-to-End solution composed of VSN systems to consolidate its production environment and its content planning and broadcast flows.
The objective of this facility, in which VSN participated through the company Teletec de México as the main integrator of the project, was to allow the group to launch its first television channel, known commercially as La Octava, to allow it to go on the air and begin broadcasting its first generalist information and news programs.
As a main challenge, it should be noted that all the technical elements necessary for the installation, from the studies to the transmission of the signal, had to be fully operational within a time frame of just three months.
The project in question is based on the VSNExplorer platform and its Production Asset Management (PAM) module as the central core of the installation to manage and organize the entire production environment. In addition, the new chain also has 20 licenses from VSNExplorer's video web editor, Wedit, as an integral part of the project. This module allows journalists and reporters to make quick video edits by cutting and get their news pieces on the air in the shortest possible time. All this from the VSNExplorer interface itself.
Along with this platform, the solution also has the Channel-in-a-Box VSNOne TV system as the main and studio playout for the broadcast of content, as well as the new HTML5 VSNCrea traffic and planning solution. In fact, with the inclusion of VSNCrea in the project, La Octava becomes the second newly created Mexican channel that has relied on this system to plan all its programming and advertising.

Currently, the project is completed with licenses of the adobe premiere non-linear editor, integrated with the VSNExplorer platform to allow more advanced and debugged video editing through a fast export and import of EDL files to VSNExplorer.
