Latin America. The sony company will hold this Thursday, October 3, a new webinar which has been called Introduction to the XAVC professional video codec and the benefits of the codec in HD, 4K and HDR production.
XAVC is the high-performance and efficient video compression technology created by Sony for professional applications. This compression scheme is being used in all Sony professional products that require a reduction in data capacity for storage, processing and/or transmission, while maintaining a very high level of image quality.
XAVC complies with the international standard H.264 / MPEG-4 Part-10 Advanced Video Coding, and is able to achieve the maximum performance specified by the standard by combining its Profile / Level operating points.
This webinar will be hosted by Hugo Gaggioni, Chief Technology Officer of Sony Professional Solutions Americas.
To conclude this webinar, Sony will offer a description of the various operating points (data rate) assigned to the various existing video forms, from HD to UHD along with their corresponding frame rates.
