Ncam Reality to Debut latin at SET Expo

Brazil. Real-time augmented reality technology developer Ncam Technologies announced that the latest version of its camera tracking solution, Ncam Reality 2019.1, will debut in Latin America at SET Expo. Ncam is also reinforcing the company's commitment to the region with the appointment of Leandro Luraschi as Product Specialist, reporting to Ncam's Commercial Director for LATAM, Sergio Bourguignon.

Nic Hatch, CEO of Ncam, said: "This new release offers smart and efficient solutions to many of the common challenges faced by AR users, as well as providing a number of new features that will greatly enhance AR projects, whether for VFX pre-visualization, real-time visual effects, virtual production or live and real-time broadcast graphics. We are excited to exhibit at SET Expo for the second year in a row, to demonstrate these new capabilities and show visitors what is now possible with photorealistic augmented reality graphics."

Commenting on Luraschi's appointment, Sergio Bourguignon added: "I would like to welcome Leandro to the Ncam team. He has a wealth of experience in the broadcasting industry, having worked at Turner Argentina for the past 11 years. We are delighted to bolster our exceptional and talented team of product specialists and further support installed systems and new projects in the LATAM region."

First introduced at NAB 2019, Ncam Reality 2019.1 is a major new release that includes more than 80 new features, as well as significant system optimization for improved performance and enhanced capabilities.

The new version of Ncam Reality sees additional support for the Extreme Camera Bar, an additional functionality that allows users to track environments that are subject to dynamic lighting changes. This new feature is particularly useful for productions that use practical effects, explosions, moving lights, and rapid lighting changes.

The creation of cinema lens profiles and the calibration of the Ncam Reality camera bar have also been refined to improve tracking quality and speed up the setup process. The number of supported video capture cards has also increased with the addition of support for Blackmagic Design's DecLink SDI 4K video card that complements the existing support for AJA Corvid 44 and Kona 4 video cards.
