Asunción Media Show will be on August 6 and 7

Paraguay. During August 6 and 7, the Sheraton Asunción Hotel will receive content producers, cable operators, free-to-air and pay television programmers, broadcasters, senior executives of large networks, directors of regulatory entities, politicians, technicians, authorities, officials and other actors linked to the sector throughout the region, in the Asunción Media Show.

It is also worth mentioning the conference tables, where the topics will focus on the main objectives that Paraguay has proposed in the field of telecommunications: the digital agenda, improvement of regulations, the fight against piracy and illegality, connectivity, new scenarios of competition, convergence and the development of the industry, they will generate a more than attractive framework for the promotion of the sector. Also, the main regulators and political figures of Uruguay and Argentina will visit the city, where a new scenario of debate will be marked, discussion of the different proposed themes.

On the other hand, the presence of large content production companies such as FOX, TURNER Broadcasting System, Discovery Communications, TyC Sports, Disney & ESPN and Canal U (Continental Union Latin America), EWTN and Total Media that will also meet in a framework of exchange, conferences, technical workshops, seminars and academic talks on the most outstanding topics organized by the Certal Youth Commission; as well as an important commercial sample of content and programming for television.

Asunción Media Show, in its 15th edition has the support of the main local references such as CONATEL, COPACO, the Association of Engineers of the Telecommunications Sector - AISTEL, the Union of Broadcasters of Paraguay - URP, the Chamber of Cable Operators of Paraguay - CCP, the Association of Cable Operators of the Interior of Paraguay - ACIP, the Uruguayan Chamber of Television for Subscribers - CUTA, the Argentine Association of Cable Telvision - ATVC and the main local television companies.

On the importance of the event, María Soto, President of Grupo ISOS Internacional, highlighted the importance of Paraguay in Latin America as "one of the most thriving countries that has been coping with the situation and the complex context of Latin America showing permanent growth and innovation, with important challenges in telecommunications, but with an economic matrix that projects a favorable development with actors seeking investment in countries such as Paraguay".
