Argentina. The National Communications Agency, Enacom, within the framework of the FM standardization process carried out, awarded 23 definitive licenses for radios, regularizing the situation of stations with Precarious and Provisional Permits (PPP).
These new licenses belong to the provinces of Buenos Aires, Chaco, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, Mendoza, San Juan, Tucumán and Córdoba. So far there are already 99 stations that were able to transform their PPPs into definitive radio licenses, some after 30 years of waiting.

In the same vein, the award of new FM licenses corresponding to the simplified tenders in the provinces of Santa Fe (7), Entre Ríos (1), Tierra del Fuego (4), Corrientes (9) and Mendoza (3) was approved. In turn, they opened new calls for competitions in Santa Fe, San Juan and Entre Ríos and reopened the contests in Catamarca, Corrientes, Jujuy and Tierra del Fuego.
On the other hand, a new sanctioning regime for audiovisual communications was approved. This measure sought to establish a unified scale in the graduation of sanctions in order to confer certainty and determine unambiguous criteria at the time of their application.
For the new regime, it was taken into account that the audiovisual and telecommunications communications sector has been one of the most dynamic and innovative and therefore, the regimes for the application of sanctions must be updated in order to protect freedom of expression and guarantee objectivity in the treatment of them. Another of the transcendental issues that the new sanctioning regime incorporated was the way to compute certain infractions that did not have a precise methodology, specifying that they be computed by program and by film.
