ANTV said goodbye to the industry at BAM

Colombia. The last day of participation of the ANTV in the BAM began with the panel 'Actors and inclusive casting', a space in which Juan Ángel, renowned national actor; Iván Gaona, film director, and Luz Adriana Quigua, indigenous filmmaker as well as Gabriel Levy, CONTENT coordinator of the ANTV as moderator, who spoke about the convenience of working with professional actors or with natural actors, and how their inclusion in the Colombian audiovisual industry occurs.

On this subject, Juan Ángel stressed that "we need the industry to be rich, diverse, own and sustainable, if we want to talk about inclusion we should not talk only about casting inclusion but about the inclusive file that is a global trend about what we do in cinema. When we talk about casting and industry, what the public wants is diversity, they want to hear different, inclusive stories from the entire population, which is a point in favor of inclusion."

For his part, Iván Gaona said that "the way we each access the interest of telling stories is very diverse, for me it is interesting to explore a path with people from a region, see their problems, etc. The inexperience generates the lack of emotional force, the discussion for me is not whether the actor is professional or not, but that the project and its narrative is coupled with a professional or natural actor. "

Luz Adriana Quigua, from her experience as an indigenous filmmaker, shared that "one of the particularities in terms of casting and inclusion is that there are very few projects that include indigenous people, narrative spaces are needed in which stories can be created so that people occupy those roles from their worldview."

Then, the ANTV continued with the gratitude and farewell to the audiovisual sector, at which time the members of the National Television Board (JNTV) Suzy Sierra Ruiz and Gabriel Vieira spoke.

"It is my purpose today to say thank you for joining us in co-creating content with purpose, which has the idea of making an industry with vision. From wherever we are, those of us who are today in the ANTV, we will continue to carry the ANTV seal, wherever we arrive and in the work we do,  I thank everyone for the work done," said Suzy Sierra Ruiz, representative of Civil Society before the JNTV.

Gabriel Vieira, representative of the universities, greeted "this growing industry, we have an industry with a long way to go and it has been a real pleasure to accompany them these years from the authority, an entity with multiple activities. I invite you not to settle for less in what follows, we reach unprecedented amounts in stimulus and the industry does not deserve less."

Finally, Mariana Viña Castro, director of the ANTV, gave the intervention, who pointed out "today we thank Proimágenes, the Ministry of Culture, the Chamber of Commerce, the regional channels, producers, actors and the entire industry present today, who always waited for the TV Lounge as a consolidated space in the BAM. There were many efforts made by the authority and the JNTV for the growth and emergence of all this talent that found in the authority a true partner and that is why today the ANTV label is present in so many productions; we also thank those who accompanied us in the effort to strengthen the contents."
