NAB. Fabric is the new commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) high-speed IP switch tuned expressly for open architecture entertainment, media and entertainment environments presented by Grass Valley at NAB Show 2019. It is designed to support all media and streaming applications, including studios, master control rooms, and external transmissions, among others.
Validated for use with Grass Valley's IP-enabled solutions, from DirectIP-enabled cameras to switches, conversion and processing devices to multivisors, GV Fabric supports the industry's most comprehensive suite of open IP applications.
Grass Valley now provides customers with an aturnkey IP core infrastructure as a single-vendor solution that greatly reduces deployment time. The system includes IP switches, as well as the required transmission equipment; Control, configuration and monitoring systems, with dedicated IP software tools.
Grass Valley delivers Fabric with all the necessary software pre-installed, including a dockable container that allows the deployment of future applications that can run independently on top of the operating system.
The system provides up to 32x 40/100GbE ports with independent port configuration to support alternative device speeds and channel segmentation.
