Colombia. Through Resolution 042 of January 31, 2019, the National Television Authority, ANTV, updated the value of the fixed and variable component of the concession and the value of compensation for subscription television operators established in Resolution 1813 of 2017.
This Resolution establishes the value of the fixed component of the concession that must be paid by the concessionaires of the subscription television service for the year 2019 at 12.3 million Colombian pesos.
For its part, the value of the compensation fee that must be paid by the concessionaires of the subscription television service is established taking into account:
For municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants, it offers two options: 4.3% of gross monthly income or the result of multiplying the number of subscribers reported monthly by the concessionaire for the reduced monthly compensation fee, corresponding to 1,570 Colombian pesos.
For municipalities with less than 100,000 inhabitants, it offers two options: 0.5% of gross monthly revenues or the result of multiplying the number of subscribers reported monthly by the concessionaire by the monthly reduced compensation fee for small municipalities, corresponding to 118.14 Colombian pesos.
