CIRT and Unions agreed on wage increase

Mexico. Radio and Television concessionaires agreed with the unions an increase of 5.25 percent to the salary tabulator and signed in the Ministry of Labor the Contract Law that will govern the sector in 2019.

José Luis Rodríguez Aguirre, president of the National Chamber of the Radio and Television Industry (CIRT), stressed that the negotiations took place with the best of spirits in an environment in which the extension of concession titles and the development of new technologies involve investments that test the solidity of companies in the sector.

In addition, "we face a fight against informal competition and overregulation; so we will have to work unions and concessionaires to move forward this industry, which is our common cause," said José Luis Rodríguez.

Faced with great economic challenges and competition challenges that Radio and Television has today; "the agreements that recognize the complex situation that the Industry is going through and give reason for the economic difficulties that arise in all sectors of the economy."
