Argentina. The president of the National Communications Agency (Enacom) participated in the Seminar "Telecommunications, Private and Public Media in the Era of Convergence" held at the CCK and organized by the Federal System of Media and Public Content and the British Embassy in Argentina.
Silvana Giudici presented in one of the panels of the day that addressed the issue of the link between companies and regulators, and its disruption in the Ecosystem. Also present during the exhibition were Roberto Nobile, Deputy Director General Telecom and Eleonora Rabinovich, Manager of Public Policy and Government Affairs of Google Southern Cone.
"The context of convergence between telecommunications and the audiovisual plane generates development, inclusion, culture, diversity and a country brand that exports content to the world," said the head of Enacom. He also added that "we must rethink the regulatory framework so that Argentina, taking advantage of this moment of disruption in the media ecosystem, raises the quality and infrastructure of content transport."
Giudici also said that "this government makes a very great effort to strengthen the role of public media where, for example through the Cont.ar platform, we can see how they adapt to the new conditions of technological innovation."
As part of the seminar, several panels and talks were held with different topics focused on the challenges and opportunities in the era of Convergence, paradigm shifts in public and private media, news, objectivity in journalistic work and Fake News.
The closing was in charge of the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Argentina, Mark Kent, and the Secretary of Government of the Federal System of Media and Public Content, Hernán Lombardi.
