Spanish audiovisual technology industry was at IBC

International. The 51st version of the International Broadcasting Convention, IBC, held last weekend in Amsterdam, had an important participation of the companies associated with Ametic, the Multisectoral Association of Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies of Spain.

The employer coordinated the participation of 23 companies, in some cases with the support of ICEX, this time being Acorde, AEQ, Anglatecnic, Brainstorm Multimedia, BTESA, Cires 21, Egatel, Gsertel, Itelsis, Ovide, Percon, Quobis Networks, Rymsa RF, Sapec, SGO, SteadyGUm, Tedial, TRedess, Tyro Communications, TTI Norte, Vector 3, Velvet Light and VSN who will present their latest news.

In this unmissable event of the sector, the evolution of the industry and its continuous diversification, beyond the traditional production and distribution of audiovisual content, were discussed, among other topics. Thus, aspects such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, cybersecurity, mobility, immersiveness, user psychology, gesture recognition, voice control, or blockchain, are part of this evolution in which the Internet is key. They also highlighted clear trends towards improvements in the user experience on all platforms and the commitment to the personalization of an increasingly segmented audience.

Likewise, the IBC focused its analysis on the main challenges of the sector, such as achieving a standardization of 5G that really responds to the specific needs of the production, contribution and, above all, the mass dissemination of audiovisual content.

In all these trends and changes, the Spanish industry is participating, which enjoys a wide trajectory and a recognized world prestige in this field. In the words of AMETIC "An industry that coexists with the technological giants of the digital age, that is clearly exporting, that continues to innovate at the highest level and that offers solutions capable of competing with large international firms in the five continents. More than outstanding factors for AMETIC to continue showing its commitment to a sector that is committed to the future and that generates, in turn, high quality employment in our country".
