Latin America. Primestream announced the completion of the project of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) in Buenos Aires, Argentina; updates to the Red Independencia de Comunicación Florianópolis (RIC TV Florianópolis) television broadcast network in Brazil, and the expansion of VICE Media's production offices in London, Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC, with Toronto currently being deployed.

INCAA needed a solution that would integrate with its existing technology while extending its external and internal workflows. It also required access to materials and files across its network, including DPX and DCP files, regardless of the storage level the materials are in, all with the goal of improving their ability to manage assets and share them securely and quickly, preserving all assets for decades to come.
INCAA, together with Primestream integrator BVS, worked with Primestream to design a solution around its Dynamic Content Management platform to facilitate the complete content lifecycle including multimedia asset management, automation, quality control, transcoding, archiving, editing and distribution. During the implementation of the solution, technologies such as the Primestream FORK™ and Xchange™ applications were installed with which it was possible to improve and streamline INCAA's ability to capture, produce, manage and deliver content. Primestream's integration with the state-of-the-art archiving system allows for the scanning of proxy assets and the partial restoration of portions of the high-resolution material when the content is required to be produced again.
For its part, the television transmission network Red Independencia de Comunicación Florianópolis (RIC TV Florianópolis) updated its FORK installation that includes the use of Live Assist for studio control, in addition to implementing the latest version of Xchange to its workflow. The addition of Xchange allows RIC TV Florianópolis to optimize its broadcast and archiving workflow as well as solutions for content review and approval, all based on an easy-to-use MAM. Other updates include new automation scripts for proxy transcoding and subclip consolidation which contributes to better control over your media.
Primestream will demonstrate its solutions with AD Digital at SET in Brazil (27-29 August), at IBC2018 stand 7.C18 in Amsterdam (14-18 September) and with VHL at CAPER in Argentina (Oct 24-26). The most prominent products to be presented include new solutions to capture, edit and transcode live IP streams, a cloud-based review and approval system, new 4K workflows, public APIs to easily integrate into the Xchange platform and a new configuration framework to allow quick and easy installations.
