Colombia. Six years ago, the company Teleservicios created a division of rental of film equipment, TSV Rental, which has been growing strongly in the Colombian market taking advantage of the development that the industry has had after the benefits granted by the Film Law created in 2002.
Today, TSV Rental is one of the few rental companies that has the latest technology and production capacity, as indicated to TVyVideo+Radio Andrés Rojas, manager of the company. And to continue standing out in this segment, they have acquired the first two Venice digital high cinema cameras from Sony that reach the Colombian market.
Andrés Rojas added that the acquisition of these two cameras is made within the framework of an important investment in technology for production and post-production, in order to face the challenges of a growing industry and thinking about a long-term project, in which they can meet the technology needs of international productions that are reaching Colombia and Latin America, such as those of Amazon, Netflix, HBO and Hollywood movies.
This investment in technology is part of a particular moment for Teleservicios, since it is also transforming corporately. When planning his retirement and giving way to the second generation in the company, Pedro López, its founder, sought to move from a family business and to have a corporate structure, with a board of directors, under the leadership of his son Sebastián López and his son-in-law Andrés Rojas.
The company will also execute important expansion projects in the medium term, both technology and production, and are making improvements in order to have a greater position in the audiovisual rental market, with the capacity to provide services in the international arena.
