OTT platforms grow and require effective solutions

Latin America. In Latin America, the growth of over-the-top (OTT) platforms is growing. In countries such as Argentina, Brazil and Mexico the trend of creating more and better OTT services is on the rise. And to ensure content quality, Interra Systems offers innovative, cutting-edge solutions, said Juanchy Mejia, the company's director of sales for the Southeastern United States and Latin America.

"We are doing very well, especially in the OTT area. All that platform that today end users are developing projects and seeing the tools they need. In Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, they have expanded their operations, increased Baton's licensing capacity; some evaluating the tools for the Orion OTT platform. We were preparing some time ago for this, several of the users are planning their projects to develop the OTT platform, but the OTT market that is growing is already just around the corner. It is already a reality," said the executive.

On the economic and political variations in the region, Mejía commented: "Not only the variation of the dollar, but the particular economies and political changes. In Interra we have been quite flexible with the Latin American public, especially in the terms of payment, special prices, very favorable conditions so that we can work according to their needs. What we want is to help end users survive. Make your business feasible and profitable. That the quality control of the content and its management is the key to success for those end users."

He stated that his presence at the recent fairs in Mexico offers various business opportunities for the company: "Show in detail the options and benefits of the Baton and Orion system, many of the people could not attend NAB and see it in detail, that is what we are doing here, bring you the post NAB. The things that we announced at NAB that we were going to implement, are practically already implemented or are much more developed."
