Mexico. Pay-TV consumption is growing day by day. In addition to attractive and cost-effective content, the operator must offer its subscribers a good service experience. That's the premise of Hansen Technologies' monetization solutions, said Giovanni Henrique, the company's president for Latin America.
"What we are presenting is a monetization of content. It doesn't matter if it's cable, IPTV or satellite. It is not a matter of having good quality content, you have to generate a service experience in the user. Companies must see what they do in the part of internal infrastructure, which goes through solutions like ours that is CRM-invoicing, which points from the customer's invoice, all phases of the business -logistics, speed, business-. You have to work very consistently, so that in the end you have a unique experience with solutions for everyone," he said.
In accordance with this, he considered, in Mexico a good path is followed: "The Mexican industry is walking very well; since the analog blackout there are opportunities in DTH and IPTV."
Henrique commented that all operators, even the largest, must adapt to new trends in content delivery: "There are many options – without saying names – with Tier 1, which have a clear investment idea, but not on behalf of Pay TV, but in mobile telephony, because it is the generator of income in the near future, because it is the generator of income, which is the internet. And for example in 5G you can place content without any problem."
He added: "In the case of Tier 2 and Tier 3 operators, as the capacity they have is large and very difficult. The market requires white label solutions to support operators. In India we have a Sky operator that is targeting small cablers and we have more than 600 cablers of this type, and I think Latin America is going to follow the same example, it's just a matter of time. There are some cases in Central America or in Argentina and in Mexico as well."
