Peru. Students and graduates of universities and institutes of higher education throughout Peru will have the opportunity to test their creativity and spirit of innovation in the development of technological solutions at HackaTEL 2018, a Telecommunications Hackathon.
The event is organized by the Supervisory Body for Private Investment in Telecommunications, OSIPTEL, whose purpose is to contribute to the Peruvian telecommunications sector through the use of computer applications.
The challenge proposed by HackaTEL 2018 is to create our own, new and innovative technological solutions that allow improving the regulatory, regulatory, supervisory and sanctioning functions, the resolution of user complaints, dispute resolution and supervisor of the regulatory entity.
With this event, OSIPTEL seeks to foster research and innovative spirit among students in the country, promote the development of entrepreneurial skills and contribute to the innovation of telecommunications applications at the service of users.
The HackaTEL 2018 is open to undergraduate and graduate graduates of universities or institutes of higher education, with knowledge in engineering, systems, computer science, auditing and computer security, software, telecommunications, electronics, mechatronics, robotics or others related to the areas of the challenge.
Participants must compete in teams of 2 to 4 people, developing prototypes, technological applications and solutions that incorporate designs or software with potential for impact on the telecommunications sector. The final product must show the minimum functionalities attributed to it, allow interaction with the user and clearly demonstrate the application potential it would have in the future when it is completely finished developing.
