Latin America. Developers of ultra-compact electronic modules for advanced video applications, the Belgian company Image Matters considers offering Latin American customers its solutions, capable of handling multiple video codecs and processing content streams up to 8K UHD-2 in uncompressed video, shared Manuel Hellendorff, Sales Manager of Image Matters.
"We are showing the IM-B20 model, an electronic module that regroups all the complex of the electronic devices of the previous designs, so every time we try to make a new product the greatest difficulty comes from the processor, such as the power distribution of the DDR or flash drive. All the components around the processor are quite complex to integrate, they take time and resources. So we isolate all that complexity into small modules so that the customer can assemble their own portable board and connect it where they deem it appropriate. The IM-B20 module is capable of processing images in 8K at 60fps with very little processing," he mentioned during NAB Show 2018.
"In Latin America we plan to arrive, we are not familiar with the market. We will be very pleased to meet any manufacturer in Latin America that have projects for cameras that run at 4K, servers, or transcoders. Something that is relative to the high-end of our industry to help them speed up their processes and improve them with respect to their designs," said Hellendorff.
He added: "Our market is mainly focused on the United States, Europe and Japan. We are having a lot of attention, mainly from Japanese producers and that is important for us, because they are difficult to access by foreign companies."
