Argentina. From the first of March, radio amateurs in Argentina will have a benefit in any procedure related to this service. According to the National Communications Agency, Enacom, they will be exempt from the payment of tariffs, with the aim of promoting and developing the social and humanitarian function they fulfill throughout the country.
This initiative is derived from the support and promotion that Enacom generates in relation to this activity, especially since it is carried out non-profit and is very important in community participation in emergency and / or catastrophe situations.
On the other hand, electronic means of payment will be implemented for the tariffs of the services of Homologations and Telecommunications Operators, which will be an improvement for users, giving speed and simplifying the procedures.
It should be noted that the tariffs so far in force were not updated since 1999.
